Poetry : Savoring the Love in Silence

Savoring the Sweet

Treat your fingers a little tenderness

Sing while waiting for a jar to come

Prepare your heart to skip a beat for the sweet jar is coming your way

Savoring the smell from further distance for you have been dreaming it all year around

Then treat your fingers a little tenderness

Dipping them into the jar

The sweet honey jar, all for yourself alone

Then forget not the sweet friends you have

A picture will do, but not for the honey itself as it is for you yourself alone.

Love in Silence

I was teased by the chocolate bread on the plate

So fresh from the oven

The bread in which we ate on the breakfast table

So filling and tempting

I was teased by the smell of honey in the jar

The smell evaporated and filled our room with love

The love of which the seed we planted years ago

So loving and warm

I was teased by the musical instruments

The sound echoed all day long

So hypnotizing and pretty

It was one morning when we  shared our love  in silence

It was one morning when only the bread, the honey, and the music knew our codes

It was one morning when I knew your love is within my heart, and soul

  1. Sorry for the late reply. I thought you might know Esperanto because you “value cross-cultural understanding” and are a “citizen of the world, and a foreign-languages addict”. Those coul;d be descriptions of an Esperanto speaker. Pardonu min! Forgive me!

Ĝuu la mielon! Enjoy the honey!

    • I know Esperanto, but I don’t speak it. So I cannot claim myself know it. Thanks for telling me! I like foreign languages, however I am learning one foreign language until I master it, then start with another. Eesperanto will be next!
